Robert H. Owen is a civil litigation attorney whose practice focuses on insurance coverage, bad faith, and other types of commercial litigation disputes. Mr. Owen has significant experience counseling clients and litigating insurance matters arising out of commercial general liability, employment practices liability, directors & officers, and professional liability coverage forms. He joined Picadio, Sneath, Miller & Norton, P.C. after gaining more than a decade of experience at a large, global law firm representing businesses in a wide variety of complex litigation matters. In addition to insurance coverage, Mr. Owen has handled contract, products liability, trade secret, and construction disputes in state and federal court and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Owen has performed extensive pro bono work throughout his career, including representing victims of domestic violence in obtaining protection-from-abuse orders and trying a civil rights matter to jury verdict in federal court. He graduated from law school at the University of North Carolina with Pro Bono Honors for volunteering more than 100 hours of service during law school. Mr. Owen has volunteered for the ACLU, the Center for Death Penalty Litigation, Appalachian Legal Services, and the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project, among others.
